When should I renew my commercial registration?

The situation

MOCI advises renewing within the 30 days before expiry.

The law

  • Commercial Registry Law (renewal and changes): Renew within 30 days before expiry; notify changes within 30 days; entry can be deleted 90 days after notice if not renewed

What it means for you

For a CR expiring on 30 June, the window opens around 31 May. Renewing early in the window avoids blocks on visas, bank changes and government tenders, which all check CR status. Renew the commercial licence at the same time so both expire together.

What to do

  1. Diary 30 days before expiry.
  2. Check signatory QID.
  3. File comprehensive renewal.
  4. Download the CR.
