Deadline for paying final dues
Our employee's last day is Thursday. When must we pay the final settlement?
The situation
Art. 67 requires final dues by the end of the working day after the contract ends, or within seven days if the worker left without notice.
The law

What it means for you
If the last day is Thursday, pay by the end of the next working day. Missing the deadline risks a fine of QAR 2,000 to 6,000, up to one month in prison, or both under Art. 145. Prepare the figures a week ahead.
