When are SPF contributions due?
The situation
Social Protection Fund contributions are due by the 15th of the following month.
The law
- Social Protection Law, Royal Decree 52/2023: Omani staff: employer 14.5 percent, employee 8 percent; ceiling OMR 3,000 for pension and injury; pay by the 15th of next month
What it means for you
Contributions for a month are due by the 15th of the next month, so March is due by 15 April. Late payment can lead the Fund to claim additional amounts. Run payroll early enough to pay on time.

- Compute by the 10th.
- Approve.
- Pay by 15th.
- Keep receipt.
