How do we apply for a permit under parallel Bahrainisation?

The situation

Apply online through LMRA's system or at LMRA offices; the same documents as a normal permit apply.

The law

  • Cabinet Resolution No. 27 of 2016 as amended by Resolution No. 2 of 2019 (Parallel Bahrainisation): Employers below their Bahrainisation target can still get permits by paying BHD 500 (two years) or BHD 250 (one year) extra per permit

What it means for you

Apply through the LMRA online system or at LMRA offices. No extra documents are needed beyond a normal permit. Pay by LMRA electronic payment or at the banks LMRA lists.

  2. Choose parallel option.
  3. Submit.
  4. Pay.
