Notice period for each wave
How much time does ZATCA give before a wave deadline?
The situation
ZATCA notifies targeted taxpayers at least six months before their integration date. The notice names the date by which your solution must be integrated with Fatoora.
The law
- ZATCA E-Invoicing Regulations (issued 4 December 2020): Phase 1 generation from 4 December 2021; Phase 2 integration from 1 January 2023 in waves
What it means for you
Use the six months well: month 1 vendor check and wave confirmation, months 2 and 3 software upgrade, month 4 onboarding of each unit on Fatoora, month 5 testing in the simulation environment and month 6 go-live. Waiting for reminders leaves no time to switch vendor if yours is not ready.
What to do
- Read the notice date.
- Make a six-month plan.
- Start vendor talks.
