Restoring a cancelled CR
My CR was cancelled two years ago. Can I restore it instead of making a new one?
The situation
Yes. Restoration is done on Sijilat with renewal and revival fees plus monthly fines; reinstatement is now allowed at any time if conditions are met.
The law
- Ministerial Order No. 62 of 2024: A standard authorisation can replace a power of attorney for filings by recognised professional bodies or the registrant's staff; deleted CRs may be reinstated at any time if conditions are met
- Ministerial Order No. 63 of 2024 (from 17 October 2024): Late CR renewal fines: BHD 10 a month in year one, BHD 20 in year two, BHD 30 in year three, then BHD 500 a year, capped at BHD 5,000
What it means for you
Bahrain.bh lists renewal BHD 50 and revival BHD 50 plus fines of BHD 10 a month in year one and BHD 20 in year two. Two years of lapse would be about 12 x 10 + 12 x 20 = BHD 360 in fines plus BHD 100. Restoring keeps your CR number and history.
What to do
- Check the CR status on Sijilat.
- Apply to restore.
- Pay revival fees and fines.
- Complete any amendment.
