Our proposed trade name keeps getting rejected. Why?
The situation
Trade names are reserved through the Single Window and checked against existing names and naming rules.
The law
- Commercial Registry Law (renewal and changes): Renew within 30 days before expiry; notify changes within 30 days; entry can be deleted 90 days after notice if not renewed
What it means for you
Common causes are names too close to existing ones or words that need approval. Submit three options. A rejected name delays the CR, so check availability first using the name search.
