QFZ licence not active until lease

We got the QFZ licence but cannot get visas. Why?

The situation

A QFZ licence is not fully active until the lease is signed.

The law

  • Qatar Free Zones regime (QFZA): 100 percent foreign ownership and a tax holiday of up to 20 years on QFZA terms

What it means for you

Sign the lease to activate the licence. Then apply for the computer card and visas with the Ministry of Interior. Visa steps usually follow within 5 to 10 working days of complete documents.

What to do

  1. Sign the QFZ lease.
  2. Activate the licence.
  3. Apply for the establishment record and visas.
  4. Open a bank account.
