QFC extension request

We need more time for our QFC return. How do we ask?

The situation

QFC allows a request for up to four months beyond the original due date through the Filing Extended Deadline service.

The law

  • QFC Tax Regulations and Rules: QFC entities pay QFC tax; returns due six months after period end; extension up to four months on request

What it means for you

Submit the request before the deadline with reasons. If refused, the original date still applies, so prepare to file on time. A late return can attract sanctions.
