When is the first tax return due for our QFC company?

The situation

QFC returns are due no later than six months after the end of the tax accounting period.

The law

  • QFC Tax Regulations and Rules: QFC entities pay QFC tax; returns due six months after period end; extension up to four months on request

What it means for you

For a period ending 31 December 2026, file by 30 June 2027. You can request up to four extra months before the deadline, with reasons. The return normally includes accounts, the return form and a tax computation.

What to do

  1. Diary 30 June.
  2. Prepare accounts and computation.
  3. Request an extension before the deadline if needed.
  4. File on the QFC portal.
