Golden visa rejected for missing attestation

My golden visa application was returned because my degree is not attested. What do I do?

The situation

Talent and green routes rely on attested education documents. Without attestation the authority cannot accept the degree.

The law

  • Golden residence rules: Supporting documents must be attested

What it means for you

Attest the degree in the country of issue, then through the UAE embassy there, then with the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Example: an Indian degree goes through state and MEA attestation in India, then the UAE embassy, then MOFA in the UAE. This often takes 2 to 4 weeks, so plan around your current visa expiry.

What to do

  1. Start attestation in the issuing country.
  2. Complete UAE embassy and MOFA steps.
  3. Resubmit the application.
  4. Track your current visa expiry to avoid overstay.
