Payroll before Mudad is linked

First salary is due next week and Mudad is not set up. What do we do?

The situation

All private employers must pay wages through the Wage Protection System, using Mudad linked to Qiwa contracts and the payroll bank.

The law

  • MHRSD Wage Protection System through Mudad: All private employers pay wages through WPS; salaries must match Qiwa contracts

What it means for you

Activate Mudad now and document contracts on Qiwa so wages match. Paying outside WPS means the payment is not recorded and the compliance rate drops. Late uploads also count as non-compliance, so target a cut-off two or three days before the pay date.

What to do

  1. Document all contracts on Qiwa.
  2. Subscribe to Mudad and link the bank.
  3. Upload the payroll file and pay.
  4. Check the compliance dashboard.
