Municipal licence and national address link
Is the national address same as Balady address?
The situation
The national address is your official registered location; the Balady licence is for the premises where you operate. They should match for a single-site business.
The law
- Commercial Register Law (published 4 October 2024, effective April 2025): CR has no expiry; data must be confirmed every year or the CR may be suspended or cancelled
What it means for you
Banks and ZATCA use the national address. Balady licenses the place of business. If you use a serviced office for the address and a separate shop, each needs proper records. Keep them aligned to avoid notices going missing.
What to do
- Register the national address.
- Licence each operating premises.
- Update records when you move.
