Cash salaries and WPS
We pay some workers in cash. Allowed?
The situation
WPS requires wages paid through bank transfers recorded in Mudad. Cash salaries do not appear in the WPS records.
The law
- MHRSD Wage Protection System through Mudad: All private employers pay wages through WPS; salaries must match Qiwa contracts
What it means for you
Cash payments are not recorded in Mudad and lower your compliance rate, even if staff are paid in full. Open payroll accounts or cards for each worker and pay by bank transfer each month.
