Questions

What is the EARN model?

It is how we lay out every way of earning, the same way we lay out our services. E is Explore: what it is, who it suits, what it can pay and the risks. A is Assess: the skills, money, tools, time and registrations you need, with a five question fit check. R is Run: a first 30 days plan to the first rupee. N is Nurture: how to grow and stay compliant with tax, GST and schemes.

Does the finder promise how much I will earn?

No. The goal question matches how far each way usually goes: side money, a salary's worth, or a business that can grow. We show an income figure only when a reliable source such as PLFS or a government scheme gives one. Everywhere else we tell you what drives earnings.

Which ways of earning are not included?

Anything illegal, betting and gambling, schemes where you earn by recruiting others (MLM and chain schemes), and offers that promise guaranteed or quick money. If someone asks you to pay to get a job or to join, treat it as a warning sign.

Is my information saved or shared?

Nothing is sent to TaxSavvy. Your answers and ticks are kept only in this browser so you can come back to them. Clear your browser data to remove them.

Do I need to register my business before I start?

Usually you can start small with PAN and a bank account. Some ways need a registration before the first sale, such as FSSAI for food or a licence for paid transport. GST becomes compulsory once turnover crosses the limit, or earlier for some online and interstate sales. Each guide lists exactly what applies and when.

Do I pay income tax on small side income?

All income counts, but under the new regime total income up to ₹12 lakh usually means no tax after the rebate for tax year 2026-27. Many small businesses can use presumptive tax under Sec 58 of the Income-tax Act 2025 (old Sec 44AD or 44ADA) and file ITR-4. Filing still matters: it gets TDS refunded and helps with loans.

Which government schemes help people start earning?

PM Mudra Yojana for small business loans, PMEGP for subsidy on a new unit, PM Vishwakarma for 18 traditional trades, PM SVANidhi for street vendors, Stand-Up India for SC, ST and women entrepreneurs, and DAY-NRLM for women's self help groups, among others. Each guide links the schemes that fit.

Guides checked on 4 Nov 2026 against official sources: PLFS, NITI Aayog, MSME, scheme portals, SEBI, GST and Income Tax sites. Limits and fees change; each guide links its sources.
