Can I use my home address as the registered office?
The situation
Every company needs a registered office address in Singapore. Home addresses can be used if the relevant scheme rules are met.
The law
- Sec 19, Companies Act 1967: Incorporation of a company by lodging with ACRA
What it means for you
Using an address service from someone else is a corporate service under the CSP Act, so the provider must be registered with ACRA. A landlord leasing a dedicated unit is not caught. Keep the address manned for official mail.
