When must employers pay CPF?

The situation

CPF contributions are due by the 14th of the following month.

The law

  • Sec 7, Central Provident Fund Act 1953: Employers pay CPF for Singapore Citizen and PR employees monthly

What it means for you

For June wages, payment is due by 14 July. Late payment brings interest charges, and repeated lateness can lead to enforcement action. Paying by GIRO helps you pay on time, but the submission must still be made before the debit date. Check the debit date in CPF's EZPay so the account is funded.

What to do

  1. Run payroll.
  2. Submit CPF.
  3. Pay by the 14th.
  4. Keep receipts.
