What trips people up

  • Name rejected as similar to an existing company or a trademark

Search MCA and trademark records first and keep distinctive backup namesSource

  • NOC or address proof does not match the address in the form, or proof is too old

Match the address exactly and use a utility bill no older than two monthsSource

  • DSC expired or not registered on MCA

Renew or register the DSC and sign with the correct signatorySource

  • Only five edits allowed after the PDF is generated and DSCs are affixed

Finalise data before generating the PDF; after five changes the process restartsSource

  • EPFO allots an establishment code even when the company is not coverable, leading to non-filing notices

Track EPFO and ESIC after incorporation; ESIC allows dormant status for up to six months if not coverableSource

  • More than three proposed directors without DIN

Only three DINs come through SPICe+; others need an existing DIN or are appointed after incorporationSource
