How do we close GOSI at closure?

The situation

Employers end each employee's GOSI registration when employment ends and pay all outstanding contributions.

The law

  • GOSI contribution rules: Old system Saudis 9.75 percent employee and 11.75 percent employer; non-Saudis 2 percent employer (hazards); wage base capped at SAR 45,000

What it means for you

Pay the last invoice including the final month. Unpaid contributions can block closure. Expat employees' 2 percent hazard contributions also need settling.

What to do

  1. End each employee's registration.
  2. Pay the final invoice.
  3. Close the establishment.
