Our company is listed on Boursa Kuwait. What is the NLST rate?
The situation
NLST is 2.5% of net annual profit for Kuwaiti companies listed on Boursa Kuwait under Law No. 19 of 2000.
The law
- Law No. 19 of 2000 on supporting national manpower (NLST): 2.5% of net profit for Kuwaiti companies listed on Boursa Kuwait; the same law supports Kuwaiti employment in the private sector
What it means for you
Example: net profit KWD 5,000,000 x 2.5% = KWD 125,000. The base starts from net profit with exclusions under the NLST law. Check DMTT scope first, because DMTT entities are no longer subject to NLST.
