Deadline to object to a Kuwait tax assessment

We received a Kuwait tax assessment last week. How long do we have to object?

The situation

Objections must be filed within 60 days of the assessment.

The law

  • Income Tax Law: objections and appeals: Object within 60 days of assessment; the authority decides within 90 days; appeal to the Tax Appeals Committee within 30 days

What it means for you

Note the date the assessment was received and count 60 days. Use the time to map every adjustment and gather evidence. The FY 2026/27 budget rules left open whether the objection period is counted inclusively, so file well before day 60.

What to do

  1. Record the assessment date.
  2. Map each adjustment.
  3. Draft a reasoned objection with evidence.
  4. File before day 60 and keep proof.
