Renewing with an owner who has no UAE Pass

I live outside the UAE and have no UAE Pass. How can I renew my licence?

The situation

Renewals are filed through portals that use UAE Pass. A manager, partner or PRO can file for you if properly authorised.

The law

  • Emirate licensing rules: Applications may be submitted by authorised representatives

What it means for you

Sign a power of attorney, attested for use in the UAE if signed abroad, naming the person who will handle the renewal. Make sure the beneficial owner data still shows you correctly. Example: an owner in Delhi signs a POA at the UAE embassy or attests it, and the Dubai PRO files the renewal and pays from the company account.

What to do

  1. Choose a trusted representative.
  2. Sign and attest a power of attorney.
  3. Share the lease, licence and KYC documents.
  4. Review the voucher before payment.
