Should we change our accounting software before e-invoicing starts?

The situation

E-invoicing needs software that can produce structured invoices through an Accredited Service Provider. Many current systems are adding connectors.

The law

  • Ministerial Decision 244 of 2025 as amended by Ministerial Decision 66 of 2026: Phased timeline: AED 50 million and above live 1 January 2027; others 1 July 2027; government 1 October 2027

What it means for you

Check with your vendor whether it connects to an ASP and supports PINT AE. Example: a small company on a desktop package with no ASP connector should plan a move to a supported cloud system before March 2027.

What to do

  1. Ask your vendor about ASP integration.
  2. Check PINT AE support.
  3. Plan migration if needed.
  4. Test before your go-live date.
